Our crematorium and memorial grounds
Dedicated by the Lord Bishop of Leicester in 1960, Loughborough Crematorium has served generations of local families. A cornerstone of the community for more than 60 years, we’re proud of the compassionate care we provide. Our chapel was sensitively refurbished in 2025 to create a light, uplifting space to come together. This is a peaceul setting to honour and remember someone special.
A chapel for all faiths and beliefs
Following our recent refurbishment, All Souls Chapel at Loughborough Crematorium offers a wonderful light, modern space for a meaningful funeral. The chapel comfortably seats up to 90 guests and features elegant lighting and large windows which look onto our peaceful grounds. The chapel is equipped with screens to display photos, and a state-of-the-art music system to play pre-recorded music of your choice. We also have space for singers and musicians too.

A compassionate team to support you
If you need support to arrange a cremation in Loughborough, or nearby areas such as Leicester, Coalville or Melton Mowbray, we work with local funeral directors, faith leaders and celebrants across Leicestershire. Loughborough Crematorium's chapel accommodates up to 90 seated guests and is equipped with a music system, screens for visual tributes and webcasting for those joining remotely. Cremation services at Loughborough Crematorium
We offer attended and unattended cremation services at Loughborough Crematorium
An attended cremation
Where family and friends come together for a funeral or memorial service in our chapel. You can personalise the service with music, readings and tributes. Loved ones will be able to spend a few moments with the coffin before leaving the chapel.
An attended direct cremation
This option enables families to attend the crematorium to see the coffin in the chapel. Although there is no funeral or memorial service, you can choose the music that is playing and will be able to spend a few moments with the coffin.
An unattended, direct cremation
A direct cremation means there is no funeral or memorial service in the chapel, and no mourners in attendance.

Our fees
All cremation fees at Loughborough Crematorium include:
• The use of our chapel
• A single tribute photo displayed on screen throughout the service (not available for attended direct cremations)
• The use of our state-of-the-art media system to play music of your choice
• All services relating to the administration and registration of the cremation, in line with statutory regulation
• Certificate of cremation
• Provision of a container for the ashes
• The option to witness the scattering of the ashes within our Gardens of Remembrance, or preparation of the ashes for collection
