Careers at The Crematorium & Memorial Group
We work in a unique industry, and we succeed by helping people through difficult times with compassion, respect, openness and care.
Across our crematorium and cemetery sites, we offer a range of challenging and rewarding roles. As part of the Dignity Group, we set the standard for funeral services across the UK, and we're honoured to be recognised as one of the nation's best employers.
A career that counts
At the Crematorium & Memorial Group (CMG), we believe that meaningful work makes a real difference. Every role within CMG, whether you're working directly with families, supporting our sites, or operating behind the scenes, contributes to something that truly matters.
We're a growing group with opportunities across a range of disciplines. If you're looking for a career where your contribution has a genuine purpose, we'd love to hear from you.
Who we're looking for
We welcome applications from caring, compassionate people who want to make a difference in the lives of the families we serve. No formal qualifications are needed to work in our crematoria and cemeteries. What matters most is a genuine desire to support others, good communication skills, and the ability to stay organised in a role that carries real responsibility.
For those who want to develop further, we provide structured in-house training and fund employees who wish to gain recognised industry qualifications.
Roles we regularly recruit for
We hire across a range of positions, with opportunities available on a full-time, part-time, and casual basis to suit different circumstances, for example:
- Crematorium Assistant – a varied, hands-on role covering chapel services, grounds maintenance, and family support, ensuring every service is carried out with care, dignity, and professionalism.
- Grounds Person – maintaining the beauty and upkeep of our sites so that families and individuals have a place of peace and reflection to return to.
- Memorial Consultant – guiding families and loved ones through the process of creating a lasting tribute, combining empathy with practical support.
