Our crematorium and memorial grounds

Grantham Crematorium was built in 1966 and dedicated by the Lord Bishop of Lincoln. Thoughtfully refurbished in 2023, we offer a welcoming space to come together for a funeral. Our memorial gardens span 23 acres, and include over 200 roses. Nature is thriving here, from the abundant wildlife in the surrounding woodlands to our vibrant wildflower area. Our grounds also include the carefully maintained cemetery, which is overseen by South Kesteven District Council.

We offer attended and unattended cremation services at Grantham Crematorium

An attended cremation

Where family and friends come together for a funeral or memorial service in our chapel. You can personalise the service with music, readings and tributes. Loved ones will be able to spend a few moments with the coffin before leaving the chapel.

A direct cremation means there is no funeral or memorial service in the chapel, and no mourners in attendance.

What families say about us

After we'd made the booking and given out the date to family, the crem said the equipment was under pre-planned maintenance for 2 days, so my mum's body would be taken elsewhere to be cremated after the service.

We believe other crematoriums close & don't take bookings under these circumstances.

Pretty poor that they prefer to keep your business rather than do the right thing. And to find out afterwards was really difficult, as we'd made arrangements so our hands were somewhat tied.

Really not great at such a poignant time for us or for our Mum who wished to be cremated in her home town, following the same for all her family.

What a beautiful crematorium, Andy the new boss has gone to a lot of trouble to make it look welcoming and less informal. I took an end of life ceremony yesterday and it felt very intimate. There are some pictures on the wall in the chapel and you get something to rest your eyes on when your thinking. The flower patio is also bright and welcoming. As the Lincoln Celebrant I would recommend the staffa this warm and friendly place.

My family have just been to pay our respects to Dad who we sadly lost 2 years ago today. While we're really pleased to see the name in the book and the artwork is quite brilliant,we then find that our personalised vase has been got rid of. I was really upset it's as bad as having a grave desicrated how dare anyone do that!!! One of the vases was my Mum's personal vase. We lost her 11 1/2 years ago and have been using it to put memorial flowers in ever since. My Dad's we bought and personalised only last year. I feel like I've been slapped in the face and I'm furious!!! Thanks so much for upsetting us all Grantham crematorium on a quite difficult day hope you're all proud of yourselves for causing so much upset. The very least you could have done is give the vases back!!!!!
