Grange Road, Plaistow, Newham, London, E13 0HB
Rich in heritage and deeply connected to the local community, East London Crematorium & Cemetery has served the area for generations. Set within 33 acres of historic grounds, our two beautiful chapels offer light, peaceful spaces to come together, share memories and celebrate a life. Our memorial gardens are filled with over 3,000 rose bushes and the protected trees we care for, creating a calm place for reflection throughout the year.
The cremation chapel at East London Crematorium was thoughtfully designed to mirror the style of our Victorian burial chapel, with high ceilings and large, bright windows. This is a welcoming space with comfortable seating for up to 64 guests, plus room for an additional 30 guests for larger funeral services. A modern sound system can play music of your choice, and there's space for singers and musicians too.

If you need support to arrange a cremation in Plaistow, or nearby areas such as West Ham, Stratford or Barking, we work with local funeral directors, faith leaders and celebrants across East London. East London Crematorium is equipped with a music system, screens for visual tributes and webcasting for those joining remotely. Parking is available within the grounds. If you'd like to tour the crematorium and memorial grounds, please call us to arrange an appointment - we're here to support you every step of the way.

We offer different ways to create a lasting tribute within our memorial grounds.
Our memorial specialists are here to help you find something that truly reflects your loved one, from a memorial garden to a plaque or dedication in our Book of Remembrance.
Contact us to arrange a tour and talk through the options.

Cremation services at East London Crematorium & Cemetery
We offer attended and unattended cremation services at East London Crematorium & Cemetery
An attended cremation
Where family and friends come together for a funeral or memorial service in our chapel. You can personalise the service with music, readings and tributes. Loved ones will be able to spend a few moments with the coffin before leaving the chapel.

A direct cremation means there is no funeral or memorial service in the chapel, and no mourners in attendance.
For more information about personalising a service, speak to your funeral director, or contact us.

• The use of our chapel

This place is so welcoming. I've been visiting my husband over here for just over a year. The office staff and the ground staff treat people like family.

When to visit the cemetery today Namely the Book of Remembrance only to the pages had not been turned over, Not that but apparently staff only work Monday to Friday and cemetery gates open by "other" member of staff might it not be a good idea for that "staff" member to turn pages in Book of Remembrance.
